This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to services provided by Spaide AI, LLC ("we", "us", or "Company") and our website (the "Site"), product pages, mobile or web applications, digital notepad tools, and other digital products that link to or reference this Policy (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy explains what information we collect from users of our Services (a "user", "you", or "your"), including information that may be used to personally identify you ("Personal Information") and how we use it.
We reserve the right to change this Policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting a new Policy to this page and/or by sending notice to the primary email address specified in your account. Changes to this Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
This Policy does not apply to any third-party applications or services used in connection with our Services. Our website or Services may contain links to other websites subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies.
1. Scope and Applicability
This Policy applies to any visitor to or user of our Services. It governs the collection and use of Personal Information through our website, web and mobile applications, digital notepad environment, submission pipeline, and any other features or tools that link to or reference this Policy.
This Policy does not apply to the practices of third-party dataset buyers, service providers acting under separate agreements, or other companies whose services may be accessed through our platform.
2. What Information Do We Collect?
Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information. Name, email address, age verification, institutional affiliation, profile picture, password, and authentication credentials.
- Submitted Content. Handwritten solutions, digital ink submissions, uploaded course materials (syllabi, lecture notes, practice exams), and any other content you submit through the digital notepad or upload tools.
- Identity Verification Information. If you use payout features, our third-party partner may process government-issued identification or other verification data.
- Payment Information. Bank account details or PayPal credentials for disbursing earnings. Payment processing is handled by third-party processors.
- Business Contact Information. For business representatives or institutional partners: contact information, company affiliation, and job title.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Log Data. IP address, browser type and settings, date and time of request, and how you interacted with our website.
- Usage Data. Types of content you view, features you use, actions you take, time zone, country, dates and times of access, user agent and version, device type.
- Digital Notepad Data. Stroke data, pen pressure, stylus timing, writing speed, and other interaction signals captured during problem-solving sessions, used to assess submission quality, assist in fraud detection, and enhance dataset value.
- Device Information. Device name, operating system, and browser.
- Analytics. Cookies and similar tools to analyze how users use our Services.
We may aggregate or de-identify Personal Information so that it no longer identifies you, and we may use or share such de-identified data for any purpose, including research, marketing, and dataset sales.
Information We Receive from Third Parties
- Third-Party Authentication. Authentication information from single-sign-on providers (e.g., Google).
- Marketing Partners. Marketing or demographic information from third parties or partners.
- Service Providers. Information from identity verification, payment processing, and cloud infrastructure providers.
- Social Media. Profile information, user name, user ID, age range, language, and country when you interact with our Services through social media.
3. How Do We Use The Information We Collect?
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver and improve the Services and your overall user experience, including generating personalized AI practice problems.
- Verify the quality, originality, and correctness of Submitted Content through our multi-stage verification pipeline.
- De-identify and package verified Submitted Content into AI training datasets for sale or licensing to third-party buyers.
- Process and disburse earnings to eligible contributors following dataset sales.
- Protect against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.
- Develop, improve, or expand our business, products, and services.
- Contact you with information and updates about the Services.
- Respond to your comments and questions and provide customer service.
- Analyze how you use the Services.
- Comply with legal obligations or respond to legal process.
- Protect the security of the Services.
- At your direction, or for any other purpose with your consent.
4. Do We Share Your Personal Information?
We disclose Personal Information in the following circumstances:
- With our corporate affiliates and subsidiaries.
- Verified, de-identified Submitted Content packaged into datasets will be shared with dataset purchasers or licensees. Buyers do not receive your name, email, student ID, or other directly identifying information.
- With third-party service providers who help us operate our business (database administrators, cloud services, payment processors, identity verification providers). These providers are contractually restricted from using your information for other purposes.
- In connection with a change of ownership or control, such as a merger or acquisition.
- When required by applicable law or regulation, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- With your consent or at your direction.
5. How Do We Use Tracking Technologies?
We use cookies and similar technologies to help us understand how users use our Services and to improve the experience. You may delete and block cookies, but parts of the Services may not work as a result.

7. How Do We Secure Your Personal Information?
We take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, or destruction, including encryption, firewalls, and secure socket layer technology. However, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
8. Data Retention
We retain your Personal Information while your account is in existence or as needed to provide the Services to you. Verified Submitted Content that has been de-identified and incorporated into a sold or licensed dataset may be retained by dataset buyers in perpetuity, as such data no longer contains Personal Information.
We may retain information that is otherwise deleted in de-identified and aggregated form, in archived or backup copies as required pursuant to records retention obligations, or as required by law.
9. Managing Your Privacy
You may request to review, update, correct, or delete the Personal Information in your account by contacting us at privacy@spaideai.com or by accessing your account settings. We cannot delete de-identified Submitted Content already incorporated into a sold or licensed dataset, as we no longer have the ability to identify your specific contributions in that data.
10. How We Respond to Do Not Track Signals
We do not alter our practices when we receive a Do Not Track signal from a visitor's browser. To find out more about Do Not Track, please visit allaboutdnt.com.
11. Children Under 18
The Services are restricted to users who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have done so, please contact us at privacy@spaideai.com and the information will be deleted promptly.
12. A Note to Users Outside the United States
Our Company is based in the United States. Your Personal Information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or engage service providers. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States.

14. Your Rights (European Residents)

15. Your Rights (US Residents)
Depending on your state and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to know about our processing of your personal information, access it in a portable format, request deletion, correct inaccuracies, and be free from discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise these rights, submit a request to privacy@spaideai.com. We may verify your identity before honoring requests. You may also submit requests through an authorized agent with signed written permission.

16. Additional Notice to California Residents
We currently do not share Personal Information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your consent. De-identified Submitted Content sold or licensed as part of AI training datasets is not considered a sale of Personal Information under the CCPA, as such data has been de-identified prior to any sale or licensing transaction.
